It Certainly Is a Good Friday

As we approach the Good Friday, I can't be helped but have my heart overwhelmed with the Joy of the Lord. It may strike you peculiar; because of the severity of the sufferings of our Lord Jesus on the cross. But I want to assure you that it certainly is a joyful day in the Kingdom of Heaven. Satan tried to destroy the Saviour, but over all things, God the Father triumphed. It was on that day, while nailing Jesus to cross, the Father destroyed all claims the Law held upon us. The Kingdom of darkness was shaken that day, they believed crucifying Jesus would eliminate God's grand plan for Salvation of creation. The Father will never be able to fellowship with the fallen human race. But to the surprise of Satan, Jesus entered hell triumphantly. The judgement passed upon the serpent was fulfilled, Jesus crushed the head of Satan on that day. Now has it ever occurred to you, why the head? Why didn't God say, he will crush your feet, arms, femur (sounds a tad more painful). As I was discussing with a friend, that was a question that dawned upon us. The Holy Spirit immediately revealed to us, Christ is the Head of the Church. The Head represents; Authority. On that day, the Father destroyed the Authority of Satan. The Authority Satan possessed over mankind, was the law. As Jesus suffered the separation from the Father facing the full Wrath of God. The Father was fulfilling the sacrifice required of the law. But the sufferings of Jesus was not your regular Passover atonement. The sacrifice He made was like none ever performed in this Universe. The Only begotten Son of God with blameless blood made an atonement once and for all. His atonement was enough to do away with the law. The moment Jesus in his anguish shouted out "It Is Finished," the Head of Satan was crushed. He no longer had the authority of the law, Jesus had paid the sin price. This my friend is the reason we call it Good Friday, the day Jesus; The Son of God crushed the head of Satan. Yes he suffered for us, but let us Glory is his triumph for us.
