It Certainly Is a Good Friday

As we approach the Good Friday, I can't be helped but have my heart overwhelmed with the Joy of the Lord. It may strike you peculiar; because of the severity of the sufferings of our Lord Jesus on the cross. But I want to assure you that it certainly is a joyful day in the Kingdom of Heaven. Satan tried to destroy the Saviour, but over all things, God the Father triumphed. It was on that day, while nailing Jesus to cross, the Father destroyed all claims the Law held upon us. The Kingdom of darkness was shaken that day, they believed crucifying Jesus would eliminate God's grand plan for Salvation of creation. The Father will never be able to fellowship with the fallen human race. But to the surprise of Satan, Jesus entered hell triumphantly. The judgement passed upon the serpent was fulfilled, Jesus crushed the head of Satan on that day. Now has it ever occurred to you, why the head? Why didn't God say, he will crush your feet, arms, femur (sounds a tad more painful). As I was discussing with a friend, that was a question that dawned upon us. The Holy Spirit immediately revealed to us, Christ is the Head of the Church. The Head represents; Authority. On that day, the Father destroyed the Authority of Satan. The Authority Satan possessed over mankind, was the law. As Jesus suffered the separation from the Father facing the full Wrath of God. The Father was fulfilling the sacrifice required of the law. But the sufferings of Jesus was not your regular Passover atonement. The sacrifice He made was like none ever performed in this Universe. The Only begotten Son of God with blameless blood made an atonement once and for all. His atonement was enough to do away with the law. The moment Jesus in his anguish shouted out "It Is Finished," the Head of Satan was crushed. He no longer had the authority of the law, Jesus had paid the sin price. This my friend is the reason we call it Good Friday, the day Jesus; The Son of God crushed the head of Satan. Yes he suffered for us, but let us Glory is his triumph for us.

THE DEEP CALLS THE DEEP

Sailing along the shores,
Of Your love.
Calm and quiet,
Comfortable and at peace.
For my heart is at ease,
As I see the waves and the shore kissing,
As I hear the wind’s love whispering,
As I feel the mists’ charm drizzling.
Is this peace?

My eyes move,
From the shore,
To the waves,
Into the deep.
To the place,
Where the waves howl.
My heart wails,
My cry reaches,
Your ears.
You soothe me,
With Your love.

The waves of Your love,
Invite me into the deep,
For the Deep calls the deep.
For You long to take me,
Into the depths of Your heart,
Into the great unknown.
For You desire to take me,
Deeper than my feet,
Could ever wander.

I move slowly,
From the shore,
To the waves.
The waves embrace me,
And take me into the deep.
Now, fully submerged.
My feet floating,
I no longer have control.
For this is in Your hands.

Now, in the deep,
The waves are no longer,
Howling but roaring.
Yet, my heart is dancing,
To the music of Your love.
For, my soul finds,
It’s rest in You.
I am no longer controlled,
By what I see,
By what I hear,
By what I feel,
For Your Word rules me.
My faith is made stronger,
In the presence of Your love.

Hope for the Hopeless

O, Hope of Life,
Where are You?
Have You become my guest?
Who comes and goes,
Who leaves with no effect.
No footprints...
No memories...

Has the storms of life,
Squeezed You away from me?
Has the thunders of life,
Silenced Your voice in me?
Is my heart too muddy,
To inscribe Your footprints?
Is my mind too busy,
To think about You?
Why, no footprints?
Why, no memories?

Oh, Fire of Hope,
Why, is there no spark?
Ignite my heart,
Rekindle the fire,
Flame my heart,
Help me to believe,
Help me to believe again.

Ignite my heart,
With Your Word.
Rekindle the fire,
With Your Spirit,
Flame my heart,
With Your love.

Bring Hope.
Bring Faith.
Bring Love.
Bring Yourself.
Bring Yourself to me.
Hope begins to reign again,
It brings light to my path,
To show me the way.
It brings growth.
The spark blazes to a fire,
The droplet grows to an ocean,
The seed sprouts to a tree,
The infant matures to an adult.

This growth produces,
Patience and endurance.
Now, my heart doesn't cry,
To calm the storms.
It cries to calm itself,
In the midst of the raging storms.

Now, when life sends rain,
Hope dances in the puddle,
And causes my spirit to rejoice.
My heart begins to see a way,
Even though my eyes see no way.
For, My God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way.

I begin to weather,
Through the storms.
And see the rainbows.
The colors from the rainbow,
Splashes its colors on me,
I start to splash these colors,
On others to beautify them.

Oh God, what beautiful portrait,
You have made through my life.
Now, I understand why You used,
Those specific paints in my life.
Even though those colors,
Were painful at that time,
Now, my heart rejoices for the pain.
If that pain did not cross my life,
Then, this beautiful picture,
Would not exist to be a blessing,
To me and many others.
